The women took 15th overall (450 points) in the 6k race while the men's squad finished 19th (535 points) in the 8k race. It was the first team scored meet of the year for both squads.
Joining the Chippewas' staff as assistant coaches will be Andrew Basler and Bryant Wilson. They join associate head coach Matt Kaczor and assistant coaches John Ridgway and Dionne Henley.
CMU opens the 2013 season by hosting the meet at Pleasant Hills Golf Course on Friday. The women's race begins at 10 a.m., followed by the men's race at 10:45 a.m.
