Some of Michigan's premiere high school track and field athletes were in prime form Friday evening, competing in the Golden Triangle Invitational at Saline High School.

The Trojans dedicated their performance to people close to them in the city meet event on their home track and outdistanced Mona Shores for the second straight year

Okemos won the boys tournament with 87.5 points. Williamston edged Bay City Western for second place winning the final event, the 1,600-meter relay, for 83 points.

The varsity team will be back when Williamston hosts Portland on Tuesday, May 5.
