Crusaders take 30-vote lead after first few days of first spring poll

So far, so good for the Rockford girls lacrosse team, which leads the season-opening MLive Grand Rapids Team of the Week Poll.

The first poll of the spring season is opening through Friday, April 10.

In an email dated Feb. 27, Gull Lake superintendent Chris Rundle informed Throop of the district s conclusions based on their preliminary investigation, along with Throop s statements made during an interview on Feb. 25.

A press release states the district has handed the situation over to local law enforcement, which will conduct a criminal investigation.

Throop, who worked at Gull Lake for 27 years, including 20 years as the athletic director, was fired Wednesday, Feb. 25, according to Gull Lake Superintendent Chris Rundle.
