With a team so young, nearly half of his roster is made up of freshmen or sophomores, Flint Southwestern girls track and field coach Jim Jackson has come to rely on his four captains. Comprised of senior Amore Brown and juniors Mildrenae Young, Miaisha Blair and Danielle Horton, the unit has not only excelled athletically -- all four qualified for the state finals last season, Blair at her former home of Flint Northern -- but as leaders on the practice field, too.
