[Men's Indoor Track & Field] Cardinals Indoor Track Season Begins and a NEW Record is Set!Published by

(Saturday December 4th, Findlay, OH) - Despite the Cardinals having only three weeks of practice under their belts, the men's track team performed well in the first meet of the season. The meet took place at Findlay University on Saturday, December 4. Two of the Cards top performers were juniors, Martell Buchanan and Max Joseph. Buchanan took fifth place in the 300m setting a new school record, with a very good time of 36.4. He also ran the 400m in a time of 52.6, placing 12th. Meanwhile, Joseph placed fourth in the triple jump with a jump of 12.38m or 40'7.5." He also placed 6th in the long jump with a jump o f6.48m or 21'3.25", just missing the school record by a quarter inch.
"I am pleased with how the team as a whole did today, and particularly Martell and Max. I feel that we got off to a real good start today," said Coach Steve Montgomery.
