Women's Track and Field Head Coach, Mark Miller recently announced the signing of Farmington High School graduate, Tyler Bland.  Bland is an outstanding athlete who will add depth to the sprinting squad competing in the 100m, 200m, and 4x100 and 4x200 races.

"I am very excited about Tyler's versatility and speed," said Miller.  "Tyler will blend in well with the team and we are thrilled to have her join the SAU Track and Field family."

Bland's high school coach, Kim Sturm, is a former Cougar track and field standout thrower who still owns three SAU Records.

A well rounded individual, Bland is active in her community and was recently awarded the Youth Empowerment Award for being a positive role model in her community.  She is active in her church and spends time volunteering with youth, veterans, and at nursing homes.
