[Women's Outdoor Track & Field] Women's Track and Field adds mid-distance talent

Comments

Women's Track and Field Head Coach, Mark Miller recently announced the signing of Riverview High School graduate, Brittany Ditzhazy.  Ditzhazy is a mid-distance specialist competing in the 400m run.

Ditzhazy was a two-year captain of the Pirate Track and Field team and was the recipient of the Coach's award and the Pirate Award as well.

Not only did Ditzhazy excel on the track, but she was also outstanding in the classroom earning First-Team All-Academic and earning membership in the National Honor Society.

"Brittany is a great fit for Spring Arbor University," said Miller.  "She fits the three main elements we look for in a student athlete which are spiritually, academically, and athletically and she fits well in all three."

When she isn't hitting the books, or blazing the track, Ditzhazy is involved in her community, especially with young children.  She's been a camp counselor, worked in various children Sunday School programs, and volunteers with several children programs.

Ditzhazy will pursue a degree in Early Childhood Education.
