[Women's Cross Country] Women second in Vanderbilt Invitational at HopePublished by
(Holland, Mich.) The 2013 Cross Country season opened with a runner-up finish for the Cornerstone University Women. Julie Oosterhouse led the way finishing second as the Golden Eagles put five women in the top twenty. The narrow, uneven course at Ridge Point Community Church along with temperatures in the upper 70's kept the times slow. Oosterhouse's 18:43 clocking, while nearly 30 seconds off her best was the sixth fastest since the meet moved from VanRaalte Farm nearly ten years ago. Audrey Tremaine placed sixth in 19:27. Behind her Trinity Hulst, (20:21), Cathy Coryell (20:25) and Leah Shepherd (20:34) swept 18-20th to secure second place. Hope College won for the fourth straight year, with 25 points with Cornerstone second with 50, nine ahead of Alboin College. Read the full article at: www.cugoldeneagles.com
