(Cedarville, Ohio) – The Concordia women's indoor track team competed at the Cedarville Collegiate Invitational this past weekend bringing home an 11th place finish.  The first to compete for the Lady Cardinals was Jalissa Favors (Southfield, MI) in the high jump. "Jalissa had  a very tough week and wasn't able to really practice but she competed and I know with a strong two weeks of practice she will get the heights she wants to see come our conference tournament" stated assistant coach Stephanie Foster.  Favors brought home a 10th place finish in the high jump and placed 13th in the 400 with a new personal record of 71.95.

The top performance on the day went to Cardinals' senior Brittany Simmons (Zion, IL), who had a 4th place finish in the triple jump.

 

Sophomore Leigh McRobbie (Brighton, MI) was the next Cardinal to score points for CUAA with an 8th place finish in the 1000 meter run with a time of 3:28.46. McRobbie also finished 19th in the mile run.

 

The Cardinals will be back in action on February 15th and 16th when they travel to the WHAC Championship meet.
