[Women's Indoor Track & Field] Women's Indoor Finishes Season at WHAC ChampionshipPublished by
(Angola, Indiana) – The Concordia women's track & field team competed in the Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference Championship at Trine University's Busse/Steel Dynamic Athletic and Recreation Center on Saturday, February 16th. The Lady Cardinals finished in 6th place and set a number of personal records in the process. Jalissa Favors (Southfield, MI) finished sixth in the high jump. This was also Favors first season competing in indoor trach at the collegiate level. Favors also ran the 400 meter dash at the WHAC Championship finishing the race with a personal best time of 1:09.92. Brenda Hawkins (Taylor, MI) ran a personal best in the 60 meter dash and set a new PR in the shot put. Joy Orr (Lawrence, MI) ran a new personal best in the 600 meter with a time of 1:55.64. Leigh McRobbie (Brighton, MI) ran a new personal best in the 5000 meter with a time of 21:19.00. Jamie Schaub (Brooklyn, MI) beat her own school record in the weight throw with a throw of 31'1". This season freshman Jamie Schaub received the Champions of Character Award for her hard work, dedication and champion attitude.
