Women's Cross Country Wraps Up Breakthrough SeasonPublished by
Since Eastern Michigan University women's cross country Head Coach Sue Parks returned to her alma mater to take over the program in 2006, the Eagles have made bounds in improvement in recent years. When Parks took over, the Eagles finished ninth in the Mid-American Conference during her first season with the highest finisher placing 13th. Since the 2009 campaign, the Eagles have had at least one All-MAC First Team performer and have consistently moved up the conference rankings by taking sixth in 2009 followed by three fifth-place seasons from 2010-12, and capped off by a jump to fourth in 2013 and a runner-up finish in the most recent campaign, Nov. 1.
