(Ann Arbor, MI) - Concordia University hosted the annual Cross-Country Classic presented by the Ann Arbor Track Club this past Saturday morning. The races brought many young faces and great competition to campus. Also participating were a few Concordia University Cross Country runners that would use this race for preparation for next week's WHAC Championship.

There were a total of six races on the schedule that showcased all ages. The morning began with the men's collegiate 8k race beginning at 10:00am. Tim Grimm would participate in the race as an unattached runner completing the 8k course in 36:36.

Following the men's collegiate race was the women's collegiate 5k race. Concordia's Alexis Tino, Kelsey Kaczor and Kristin Lindberg took part in the women's collegiate race. Although on a tough home course Kristin managed to show good effort with a second place finish. Next would be Alexis Tino completing the rigid course in 28 Flat. Finishing out for the Cards was Kelsey Kaczor with a strong finish to her race.

With the collegiate races beginning the day, the afternoon races went to the youth runners. At 12:00pm the boys and girls 4k took place. Shortly after, the boys and girls 3k and 2k races ended the day.

Concordia University Cross Country would like to thank the Ann Arbor Track Club for a festive race day and for their support of the sport of running in the community.
