Comments

(Lansing, MI) - The Concordia men's cross country team competed at the Lansing Community College Invitational this past Friday. The Cardinals had three runners in the race so they were not able to compete as a team. The three runners did have a good showing on the day. All three ran very well and two PRs (personal records) were reached." The first Cardinal to cross the line was sophomore Ryan Bjellquist-Ledger who ran a new PR of 28:07.5. Bjellquist-Ledger's time was good for 70th out of 167 runners. Head Coach Stephanie Foster remarked that "Ryan took the course by storm and challenged himself and he was able to see the result of his hard work payoff." Next to cross the finish line was sophomore Alex Kitchin with a new personal record of 29:57.2 which was good for 122nd. Rounding things of for the Cards was junior Andrew Belt. Coach Foster stated that "Andrew is getting much stronger and he raced a great first two miles. He fell off the pace a little but he finished stronger than I have seen him all season and I am extremely proud of his performance."

The team's next race is Friday October 12th, at Bethel College in South Bend Indiana.
