Comments

The Women's Athletic Department at Spring Arbor University is thrilled to announce the signing of Michigan native, Morgan Labert to both the women's cross-country and track programs for the 2014-15 academic year.

A varsity letter winner for both the women's cross-country and track programs at Trenton High School; Morgan has competed in three different State meets and was awarded the honor of Academic All-State four times.  Just recently Morgan received the Phi Beta Kappa honor at her high school.  These are just a few example of the many accolades that Morgan has received over her high school academic and athletic career.

Actively involved in her home church Morgan has been on mission trips, works with both the youth and children's ministry programs, and has also been involved in drama teams.

Morgan will be studying Exercise and Sport Science while at Spring Arbor University and she is looking forward to the spiritual opportunities provided by being a part of a Christian University and athletic team.

"We are extremely excited to have Morgan joining our running family here at SAU," said Head Coach Bill Bippes. "Along with being a gifted athlete she is also a spiritual leader.  I firmly believe that Morgan will have a profound impact on our women's program next fall spiritually, academically, and athletically.  I am looking forward to seeing how God will develop her gifts."

Morgan is the daughter of Joe and Julie Labert.
