(South Bend, IN) - The Cardinals Women's Cross Country team traveled west Friday to compete at the Bethel College XC Invitational hosted by Bethel College. The 5k race took place at St. Patrick's Park in South Bend, Indiana.

Aquinas College took the women's team title by placing four runners in the top ten. Ashley Shares of Saint Xavier University earned the individual women's title with a time of 18:21.

First to cross the finish line for the Cardinals was sophomore Leigh McRobbie, running a lifetime personal best time of 21:51. Senior Corinne Kuclo and Sophomore Delisia Morris put in a solid performance completing the course with times of 24:26 and 24:29, respectively. Freshman duo Alexis Tino and Kelsey Kaczor ran personal best times of 25:44 and 26:16.

The Lady Cardinals continue to show steady improvements mid-way through the 2012 Cross Country season. The team will be back in action next Friday at the Eastern Michigan Invitational in Dexter, MI.
