[Men's Outdoor Track & Field] Men's Track & Field take second at the Huntington InvitationalPublished by
HUNTINGTON, IN – The Men's Track & Field team placed second place out of seven teams at the Huntington University invitational in cold and windy conditions on Saturday. The Cougars tallied 153 points and trailed only Indiana Wesleyan's 201 points in the meet. Spring Arbor took home seven first place "gold medals" on the day, including Kelly Maxwell winning both the 100m (11.12), and 200m (22.90) events. Nathan Martin added two more gold medals winning both the 800m (1:55.43), and 5000m (15:00.69). The 4X100m relay team took first place by 1.4 seconds with a time of 42.81. Other first place honors went to Garrett Reid jumped the farthest in the Long Jump covering a distance of 6.55m and Tim Canfield vaulted the highest raising the bar to a height of 4.45m.
