[Men's Outdoor Track & Field] Men's Track & Field second at Crossroads League Meet, ...

HUNTINGTON, IN – The Men's and Women's Track & Field teams put up outstanding numbers this weekend at the Crossroads League Championships as the men placed second and the women placed fourth in the league standings.

The men totaled 148.5 points which was 25 points shy of League Champion Indiana Wesleyan University's 173.5 points.  The Cougars edged out third place Taylor University (147) by 1.5 points.

The ladies put 98.5 points on the board, good for fourth place behind Taylor University's 202 points, Bethel College with 197.5 points, and Indiana Wesleyan with 144 points.

The top three individuals in each track and field event as well as the top three relay teams are acknowledged as All-Crossroads League athletes.

The NCCAA National Meet and NAIA National Meet still remain on the Cougars men's and women's schedule.  There are qualifying times and distances required to participate in those events, and the Cougars that have qualified for the National Meets will be announce next week.
