[Women's Cross Country] Lady Cardinals finish Season with Several Personal Records at WHAC ...

(Grand Rapids, MI) - The Cardinals Women's Cross Country team traveled to Grand Rapids to compete at the Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference (WHAC) Championship meet this past Saturday. Cornerstone University took the women's team title by placing five runners in the top 10. Julie Oosterhouse took the Championship Title with a time of 18:15.
 
First to cross the finish line for the Cardinals was sophomore Leigh McRobbie, placing 60th overall with a time of 22.24. Sophomore Delisia Morris put in a solid performance completing the course with a season best time of 23:42. Next was senior Corinne Kuclo finishing her last collegiate Cross Country race with a time 24:26.Corinne was also named to the All-Academic Team for the Cardinals. Freshman Kristin Lindberg finish the race with a lifetime best of 24:32, she also earned the WHAC Champion of Character award for Concordia. Alexis Tino and Kelsey Kaczor rounded of the team with lifetime bests of 24:48 and 25:07.
 
Head Coach Stephanie Foster stated that, "we continued to show steady improvements all the way through the 2012 cross country season. The team has been very strong and positive throughout the transition and I am proud of all the great performances they have put forth. The hardest part about this season will be seeing Corinne leave because she was such a strong person and a delight to have on the team. Both our men's and women's teams will miss her. The team is looking forward to Indoor and Outdoor season now and will continue to improvement throughout the coming months."
